I come as one, but I stand as ten thousand. (Maya Angelou)
Protest movements such as Black Lives Matter, Fridays for Future and Ni una menos fight against racism, climate change and violence against women worldwide. They fight for the vision of a better and fairer world. They are digitally savvy and shaped by the initiative of resistant women*. The Revolution Will (Not) Be Performed is dedicated to these and other movements, explores female* protest cultures and their digital spheres.

Experiencing a hybrid of installation and performance, the audience listens to protest stories via wireless headphones, watches media reporting taking a life of its own on screens and follows the three live performers as they get ready for the uprising. Sit-ins are transformed into choreographic elements, urgent reminders into synth pop songs, balaclavas into knitted breasts and soft cushions into barricades.
