The four artists Paula Jütting, Anna Hubner, Katharina Greeven and Theresa Blum from the fields of dance, performance, mediation, biology and music used the residency at the Nordsee Akademie Leck for a joint entry into the conceptual and artistic-practical work for the production Scham oder Show in fall 2024.

The dance performance will loudly negotiate what otherwise hardly gets a voice: the menstrual cycle. Scham oder Show wants to break with the taboo as well as clear up the half-knowledge about biological-bodily processes.

Small video sequences in public space, microscopic photographs of endometrium on body parts as well as monotypes and texts have been created at the Nordseeakadmie Leck. The artists also experimented with mucus as a performative material on skin and body parts.
